Synopsis
Melvin Udall, an unpleasant writer, alienates everyone, even his gay neighbor, Simon. When Simon is injured and Melvin ends up caring for his dog, his life takes a sudden turn. To add to the chaos, his reliable waitress, Carol, leaves due to her son's illness, leaving Melvin without breakfast.
