How it works

The hero section of the movie page gives you a quick overview of the movie.

The left side of the hero section contains the movie details, and you can add the movie to your watchlist from this section by clicking the star button.

This part of the hero section shows your personalized score for the movie. Your personalized score is calculated based on your ratings and the ratings of critics you are matched with.

Below your score is where you can rate the movie from 1(Terrible) to 5(Great). Your rating will be used to match you with critics who have similar tastes to yours.

The right side of the hero section shows the critic score for the movie. The critic score is an average of all the critic ratings for the movie. Every critic is weighted equally because we believe that every opinion matters.

Below the critic score is where you can see the average user rating along with the number of user ratings for the movie.

The reviews section of the movie page shows you the reviews from all critics who have reviewed the movie. The left side will show you the highest-rated critic reviews, and the right side will show you the lowest-rated critic reviews. You can click on the review link to visit the publication's website and read the full review.

Some critics have a colored star next to their name. This star indicates that the critic has been matched with you based on your ratings.

Matched critic stars

The color of the star indicates how strongly the critic is matched with you. The color of the star is calculated based on how similar your ratings are to the critic's ratings. These are the possible matches:

Gold star critic: This critic agrees with you the vast majority of the time. You can trust their reviews to be accurate for your taste.

Silver star critic: This critic agrees with you most of the time. You can trust their reviews to be mostly accurate for your taste.

Bronze star critic: This critic agrees with you some of the time. You can trust their reviews to be somewhat accurate for your taste.
