Synopsis
The Sound of Music Live! aired on NBC on December 5, 2013. Produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, it was an adaptation of the Broadway musical starring Carrie Underwood as Maria von Trapp. It was broadcast live from Grumman Studios in Bethpage, New York. Julie Andrews endorsed Underwood's casting.
