Synopsis
In post-World War II Los Angeles, Easy Rawlins, a black war vet struggling financially, takes on a job investigating a missing white woman, Daphne Monet, at the insistence of a mysterious white man. As he delves deeper, Easy realizes he's in a perilous situation.
