Synopsis
An extraterrestrial named Thomas Jerome Newton arrives on Earth to find water for his planet. With the help of lawyer Oliver Farnsworth, he uses advanced technology to invent profitable items. When he meets Mary-Lou and falls for her, his mission is jeopardized by U.S. government interference.
