Fighting Spirit: Champion Road

Ippo, the new Featherweight champion of Japan, prepares for his first title defense against former Jr. Featherweight champion Sanada, who is now a medical student being coached by Kamogawa's old rival. To complicate matters, Sanada works at the hospital where Kumi, Ippo's love interest, is a nurse, and the hospital staff is rooting for Sanada to win. Ippo not only has to defend his title but also win back Kumi's heart.
