Synopsis
At the start of the Great Patriotic War, Lieutenant Adi Sharipov and his platoon protect the regimental headquarters while trapped behind enemy lines. The enemy forces them into a swamp, leading to fear and doubt among the fighters. They understand that hesitation is more deadly than enemy fire.
