Synopsis
In 9th century China, ten-year-old Nie Yinniang, a general's daughter, is kidnapped and trained as a skilled assassin by a nun. After a failed mission, she is sent back to her homeland to kill her cousin, a powerful military leader, leading to a complex reunion with her past and emotions.
