Synopsis
Veronika and Boris meet in Moscow amid impending war, sharing a vow to meet again before Boris heads to battle. When Boris fails to keep their rendezvous, Veronika waits dutifully, exchanging letters. After surviving a bombing, she moves in with Boris' family, where she encounters a curious cousin.
