Synopsis
In Colombia following the Great War, an elderly man confesses his deep affection for his wife on his deathbed. After his passing, a man visits the widow but is rejected. The story then shifts over half a century back to the time when a young telegraph boy named Florentino Ariza falls in love with Fermina Daza, the daughter of a mule trader.
