Synopsis
African-American detective Virgil Tibbs is falsely accused of murder by racist police chief Bill Gillespie in Sparta, Mississippi. Tibbs clears his name and collaborates with Gillespie to find the true perpetrator, facing challenges and forming unexpected alliances along the way.
