Synopsis
Country boy Bud Davis relocates to Pasadena, Texas, frequents Gilley's bar, and falls in love with cowgirl Sissy who believes in gender equality. Their marriage becomes turbulent due to Bud's conservative views on gender roles. They separate due to jealousy, but Bud tries to win Sissy back by winning a mechanical bull-riding contest at Gilley's.
