Synopsis
Holly Martins, a Western writer, comes to Vienna and discovers his friend Harry Lime has passed away. He investigates a mysterious "third man" at the scene and faces opposition from Major Calloway. Martins also becomes romantically involved with Anna, Harry's lover.
