Synopsis
At 19, Irena Gut is promoted to housekeeper for a Nazi officer in Poland. Learning of an upcoming Jewish ghetto liquidation, she shelters 12 Jewish workers in the officer's basement, risking her life for eight months using wit, humor, and courage to protect them.
